Read How to Lie with Statistics, by Darrell Huff. Prepare a presentation explaining thoroughly:

1. What does it mean to lie with statistics?
2. Who lies with statistics? Why do they lie?
3. What methods/tactics are there to lie with statistics? examples?
4. Are these really lies? Explain with examples. Get some current examples from TV, Internet…
5. Is there a reason to learn a subject that can be manipulated in such a way? Explain.
6. Should everyone learn statistics or should no one learn it? Explain.
7. What makes a good statistician?
8. Grading: 80% well written presentation with clear and detailed explanations
9. 20% class presentation. Showcases deep understanding. No reading the slides.
